Three and a half years ago 3 guys came together with a common goal. All were in search of a vehicle to vent their aggressions and ideas with a freedom and openess that only music would allow. With a burning commitment to bringing the best music and live show they could to their peers they spent a year hidden in rehearsal rooms allowing their music to grow and the songs to gain personality before bursting onto the live scene with an intensity rarely seen before.
A year spent searching for the right drummer finished the current line-up of Cu, Gav Grogan, Hemi Rakei and final recruit Tristan Reilly to make up what is now d0n't.
During the following years of performing live, d0n't have had record audiences, packing venues wall to wall. They had record attendances at Auckland, New Zealands largest and most prestigious venue the Powerstation. The bands live act combined with their brutal music is what stands them out from most others. Their live act: intense, energetic, powerful, schizophrenic and not to be missed. Opening with a beautiful intro where the band embraces their tribal roots; bassist Hemi Rakei welcomes all in his native tongue; Maori, this is then brillantly contrasted to what follows as the band explode into the sonic onslaught that is d0n't
It's not often a band comes along who are true to emotion, so brutally heavy in its content and so intense live that it leaves you drained, but screaming for more.
d0n't: a force to be reckoned with and a live act not to be missed
